International Volunteer Managers Day
(then called International Volunteer Manager Appreciation Day)
was celebrated on 1 November.
November 1 was also the celebration date in 2008.
Beginning in 2009
IVM Day changed to
5 November
in order to avoid the clashes some parts of the world
have found with
All Saints' Day, which is also celebrated on 1 November.
Manager's Day
is on
Saturday 5 November 2011.
Help us celebrate and
join fellow KAAAV members for lunch!
As administrators of volunteers and
the programs they support
we invite you to join fellow KAAAV members
on Friday November 4
to celebrate
International Volunteer Managers Day.
We hope to share this time
to informally recognize
and promote our collective efforts
and accomplishments within our field.
All KAAAV members are invited
to the lunch at
Aunt Lucy's Restaurant
(1399 Princess Street)
on Friday November 4
at 12:30 pm.
Although there will be no formal business,
we hope that each of you
will have some time in your day
to join us as we network and share our stories.
We would also ask
that you cover the cost of your own lunch.

so that the restaurant can hold
the appropriate amount of space.
