April 10-16 is the revised date for National Volunteer Week 2011 The priority for NVW is to ensure that Canadian volunteers remain the national focal point. As such, the date change was made to avoid overlap with other holidays that fall within the same time frame. This update has been adopted by both Volunteer Canada and its American affiliate, Points of Light Institute. NVW was originally slated for the third week in April (ie, April 17-23). |
